Social Justice Poem on Hunger: Siri Neseth

Hunger is fear, Like the monster under your bed, Like the pitch black darkness, Like the begining of a storm, Like the depths of the ocean, Hunger is pain, Like the sharp point of a thorn, Like the tears that fall from death, Like the break of a bone, Hunger is struggle, Like the fight to cure cancer, Like the day you learn to ride a bike, Like the pressure to run a household, Like the fight to win, Hunger is unbelieveable, Like the thought of space, Like the unsolved mistery, If you havent experienced the fear, pain, and struggle, of hunger, You will never imagine the feeling. Hunger can be awareness, Spreading the word, Informing people, Showing them how they can help.
