BLOGGING INSTRUCTIONS
Setting
up a Free Soundcloud Account
1.
Go to www.Soundcloud.com.
2.
Click “Sign Up”
in the upper left hand corner.
3.
In the pop-up
screen, enter your student email and choose a password.
4.
Check the box
next to: “I agree
to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy”
5.
Complete steps
1-4 (If you click “Skip this step,” SoundCloud will prompt you to change your
username.
6.
Go to your email inbox.
Click on the link to “confirm your email account.”
7.
The link will
tell you back to Soundcloud.com
8.
You’re now ready
to record!

About Recording Sounds
SoundCloud allows you to easily record any type of
audio and directly upload it to your account.
Before you start… Recording on SoundCloud requires
the latest Flash version so don't forget to update your Flash player.
Overview
To start your recording, either click on the
'Upload & Share' button on the top of the page or record directly by clicking the orange ‘REC’ button.
You'll find the record button next to the 'Choose
files' button. To start your recording,
hit 'REC' and allow the Flash settings to access your microphone (you must select “allow” from
the popup):
Once you're done, click the play button to preview
your recording. Not happy with this version? Simply click 'Start over' to give
it another try.
Liking what you hear? Then upload your recording to your account.
SoundCloud also allows you to upload artwork, a description, sound type and other metadata to your recording, just like you're used to. Click “Get Help” in the
Above the waveform of your track & set, you'll see
additional options: a pen icon (edit) and a trash icon (delete).
To delete a track or set, hit the trash icon.
To access the settings of a track or set, hit the pen icon and you'll get directed to the settings where you can edit your track.

Before
You Start Blogging
You will be invited
to join wespeakchange.blogspot.com
as a team member. You must go to your student email and accept your invitation
in order to post to the blog. To accept, click on the link to “contribute to
this blog.”
Next, you will be prompted to sign in with your Google Account OR if you don't have a Google Account, Create your account. Select either link and complete the steps.
You will be listed as an
"Author.” Authors can only create and edit their own posts. You can
comment on posts by going to www.wespeakchange.blogspot.com and clicking the “comments” link at the beginning of each
post.

Embeding In General
You can embed your sounds on any
page by using our widgets and apps.
Go to the sound that you want to embed, click the "Share" button,
copy the HTML code which is identified as "Embed Code" and then embed
that full code into the HTML section of your blog, or website. To embed into a
post, please copy the HTML code and then paste to post
it into the HTML field of your Blogger blog post.

Sign in to the Google blogger
account.
2.
Click “New Post” next to the Blog
title “Learn. Speak. Change.”
3.
Title Post
4.
Next to “Compose,” click HTML.
5.
Paste the code into the window.
6.
Click “label” on the right side of
the page and enter either “Period 1,” “Period 2,”
“Period 3,” “Period
5,” “Period 6” AND “Done.”
7.
Select Publish.
That's it!
To Post Written Blogs:
1.
Follow steps 1-3 from above.
2.
Select “Compose.”
3.
Click “label” on the right side of
the page and enter either “Period 1,” “Period 2,”
“Period 3,” “Period 5,” “Period 6” AND “Done.”
4.
Select Publish.
